Weight loss through hypnosis is a fairly new concept, and using hypnosis you can improve your calorie burning capacity to a certain extent. More than weight loss, it is effective in keeping your food cravings under check and acts as a motivator to support you in weight loss. Hypnosis makes you open to suggestions and can also bring some behavioral change. It’s all about relaxation and conditioning your mind.

The hypnotist might ask the person to stay focused and breathe deep, and then make him imagine things that might help him in weight loss. Say for example, the person might ask you to imagine a thinner you. This acts as a feel-good factor and would make the person more willing do to his/her exercise or follow a diet. One can also experience weight loss through self hypnosis. After all it’s all about motivating yourself.

Choose a calm place and lie down or sit in a meditating position. Keep your eyes closed, focus in the darkness in front of your eyes. Now breathe deep, and focus on your breathing pattern. Starting from the feet, relax each and every body part. Now silently start hypnotizing or instructing yourself with the goals that you had set. Also imagine a thin you.

You would not believe that these simple hypnosis exercises make a huge impact on our mind and behavior. They might not show big results, but in weight loss, remember that each pound and gram counts, and has its own value. If you are planning for a hypnosis session to reduce weight, remember that there are no guaranteed results, and the weight loss you would experience largely depends on your focus levels, willpower and patience.
