It is not uncommon to see people skipping breakfast for various reasons. It can be due to paucity of time to whip up a breakfast or it can be due to not feeling like having a breakfast, etc. However, it is not recommended, that you skip your breakfast. There are many benefits of having breakfast everyday. The first most important benefit is that it prevents the person from overeating or binging during later part of the day. It is has been observed that people who kick start their day with a breakfast tend to weigh less as compared to people, who skip their breakfast. There are many Weight Watchers breakfast ideas, which can be used, but the foremost important question, what constitutes an ideal breakfast?

If you have to compare breakfast foods from all over the world, you will see it to be a combination of complex carbohydrates or simply carbohydrates and proteins. Apart from the health reasons attached to it, there is another reason, why this combination works well. It is because this breakfast keeps you satiated for a longer period of time. A lot of people prefer to have whole grains, fruits, milk in some form, proteins in some form for their breakfast. From the first two, one gets a number of essential vitamins and fiber, while from milk, one gets calcium and not to forget proteins. Proteins chosen are lean proteins, so that one does not have to bother about the fat content in the meat, etc.

One of the easy Weight Watchers breakfast ideas is to opt for cereal with low fat yogurt (vegan yogurt) and some fruits and/or dry fruits. This breakfast does not take long to put together. You can replace the yogurt with milk, if you prefer milk to yogurt. If you are a vegan, then you can substitute yogurt with soy milk in a flavor of your choice. Fruit smoothies are a big favorite with a lot of people around the world as a favorite breakfast. While some people prefer to make smoothies with yogurt, there are others who make the smoothies with milk (soy milk, if a person is vegan). The choice is yours! You may want to try smoothies with milk and then next time you may want to use yogurt. It is best to stick to fruits, that are aplenty during the season, which ensures you get all the required nutrients. My personal favorite is the banana smoothie made with vanilla yogurt.

When you are running short of time, one of the Weight Watchers quick breakfast ideas that you can use is to combine nuts and fruits. You can pick up a fruit of your choice, like an apple, banana, tangerine, etc., and a handful of nuts. You can eat them, as you drive down to work. By the time you reach work, you would have finished your breakfast and would be raring to go.
